Identify Unknown Credit Card Charges & Merchant Descriptors

The story of how Charge Lookup Now came into existence began with one of these small credit card charges. While on a routine trip back to Colorado (our founder Alex) was at home trying to relax when he noticed his mom looking a little worried sitting at the kitchen counter looking over her laptop. When he asked her what was wrong, she pointed to a small (less than $10) charge on her most recent credit card bill that she did not recognize.

After some very cursory digging and looking up the charge in the newly released ChatGPT, which was growing rapidly in popularity at the time, Alex was able to find out the charge was from a subscription service his mom had signed up for a few months prior but had completely forgotten about. This small incident was the spark that would eventually lead to the creation of Charge Lookup Now.
